U9 Red team v Winterfold

A first match of the season saw the team travel to Winterfold. The match was played as a five a side competition with the players rotating around all of the positions during different periods of the match. The team got off to a good start, showing good defending and creative attacking play and by the end of the first session had a 2-0 lead. After rotating into different positions, the team lost a little fluidity however good defence from both Millie and Amber limited Winterfold’s chances and the score remained 2-0. During the third period the team struggled to get the ball into the attacking third and despite some determined defence from Anna and Haniya, Winterfold came back to level the score. The remaining parts of the game showed how the girls had grown into the match. The ball moved from end to end, and more goals were scored. Amal displayed great resilience when injured to return to the play where she produced some super skills. A great game overall with the girls securing an 8-5 victory. Well done!

Player of the game Amal.

Green team vs Winterfold

This match was played as a five a side game, with, players rotating around, allowing them to play all positions. The team worked well together and showed some great defending. Their first period ended with a 2-0 lead with good shooting from Amaya. During the second period, the players started to relax, Hannah J played well in the centre court and Vithi defended well. However we couldn’t add to our 2-0 lead. The girls went on to rotate positions, playing a further 3 periods. With great defending from Hannah L, the team were able to secure a 6-0 victory overall. Player of the game, Amaya. Well done!

This first match of the season consisted of travelling to Winterfold for a five a side game. Players rotated around different positions after each period. The team got off to a sound start, taking a 1-0 lead, scored by Yasmine who was well supported by Mahi. As periods went on, the team improved their attacking and defending, with Midian performing well as goalkeeper. The team were determined to increase their lead and continued to thrive and work hard. With the great defending from Aya, the team were able to prevent Winterfold from scoring; the team finished with a 7-0 victory. Well done!

U11 Netball v The Priory

The U11 team played their first netball match of the season at home to The Priory. The girls began well with some good possession Iyla found great space to support the attack but unfortunately the team couldn’t turn this into goals. On the counterattack Priory scored to take an early lead in the first quarter. During the second quarter the girls tried hard to find space and feed the ball into attack. Good movement from Reet and Aman meant the team had lots of possession which finally paid off with a goal. At half time the scores were level. Throughout the second half of the match the ball moved from end to end. Good defence from Aisha, Mariia, Mishaal and Eesha limited Priory’s opportunity to score whilst Mia, Daya, Sylvie and Siyana linked up well to give Hallfield greater opportunity to score. Daya scored a beautiful goal from quite far out to ensure the team had a good lead going into the last quarter.  Despite some good attacks from Priory the girls continued to work hard and finished the match with a 5-1 win. A great start to the season, well done! Player of the match Mariia.
