U10 Red team v Crackley Hall
The girls worked hard throughout the match and created some good play. They were put under pressure from the start but good defence from Mahi and Sumayyah and excellent saves in goal from player of the match Amelia limited the opposition’s chances. When in possession the girls worked hard to move the ball down the pitch and create opportunities for Hallfield. Jaiya, Aditi, Mia and Halima combined well and enabled Jaiya to cease upon an opportunity to score. At half time the score was 2-1. During the second half the girls withstood more pressure, Amelie tried hard on the wing and Halima deputised in defence due to injury. Unfortunately, the girls conceded twice more to make the final score 4-1 to Crackley Hall.
U10 Green team v Crackley Hall
The green team played a strong team from Crackley Hall and were put under pressure from the outset. Some good strong tackling from Armaya and Ying Ying in defence gave Isabella some cover but when called upon Isabella made some great saves especially from one-on-one positions. Alaura and Maidah worked hard in the middle of the pitch, they grew into the game and tried hard to link the play with the forwards. Alaura moved the ball into the opposition half with increasing frequency and tried hard to find both Tabetha and Anika in attack. Tabetha’s confidence increased throughout the game and she began to defend from the front. Despite a difficult game the girls worked hard right up until the final whistle. Final score 4-0 to Crackley Hall Player of the game Maidah.
