Unbeaten! A great morning of football with plenty of exciting games. Well done to all 11 in the squad for playing so well!

U10 Green Team Hockey vs Crackley Hall

It was a very exciting game for the U10 Green team. Crackley Hall started with the ball, but we defended well and overturned possession quickly. The first half was end-to-end with Mishaal, Eesha, Siyana and Leila creating a strong defence and getting the ball forward to the attack. Jiya and Iyla made some great runs on the wing, keeping a wide position and helping to spread game play. Sophie and Aya worked tirelessly in the centre of the pitch, frequently winning the ball when tackling and making excellent progress down the pitch on their attacking runs. Despite our best efforts, the first half ended 0-0.

After a brief team talk about utilising our wings more, we were ready for the second half. We started with the ball and quickly dominated the play. Siyana made a fantastic run up the wing and finished with a strong and successful hit at goal, putting us 1-0 up. Summer was a star in goal, making lots of saves with powerful kicking skills. The girls played beautifully together, and the final score was 1-0. Sophie was voted as Girl of the Game for her excellent work as a centre player. Well done girls, a very enjoyable match!

U9 Red Team and U9 Green Team vs Solihull

The Red team and the Green team had 2 tough matches against Solihull. The Red team were end-to-end with the opposition. There were some great attacking plays from both sides but neither could get through the other team’s defence. The score at half time was 0-0. In the second half Hallfield came out strongly. There was some excellent link up play between the attack and defence, and Hallfield had soon put a goal away – followed by many more! The final score was 5-0 to Hallfield Red team.

The Green team had a tough game. Solihull were strong in defence and try as we might (and we came very close a few times!) we could not get the ball in the back of the goal. There were some excellent runs from attack and our defensive team were powerful in sending the ball up the pitch. Unfortunately, Solihull managed to get the goal past us a few times and the final score was 5-0 to Solihull.

Excellent play from all the girls and we’ll continue to work on and improve our skills in training. Well done!

U9 Rugby Tournament at King’s Hawford

The U9 A and B Rugby squads travelled to King’s Hawford in Worcester to play in a fun festival of rugby. Both the A and B teams played 4 matches against some tough opposition. Both teams tried really hard, played some great attacking rugby and learnt lots about the game. The Bs managed to win 2 of their Games and the As scored a total of 14 tries – well done to you all.

Review of fixture Hallfield B at Kings Hawford Festival

Hallfield Vs Winterfold

We started off playing Winterfold with some exceptional work on our defensive press we caused numerous handling errors resulting in several easy tries. We added to this by some fabulous line breaks and offloads in the tackle to score some extras. First game 6-0 victory

Hallfield Vs RGS Worcester

Next up was a very well drilled RGS Worcester team, they had a couple of strong, tall players that we found it hard to stop and get to ground. But we persevered and returned to our running and offloading game, this resulted in a try – there would have been more, but RGS last ditch tackling stopped us! Second game 5-1 loss.

Hallfield Vs Warwick

We then faced a confident Warwick team. We met their attack with our speedy defense and caused errors again. Some amazing footwork and running at pace led to a very tight conclusion, Third game 5-4 loss.

Hallfield Vs RGS Worcester

Finally, we faced yet another RGS Worcester team. We wanted to avenge our previous loss and flew up in defense, made some big tackles and again caused errors that we capitalised upon. Some great line breaks and offloads led to some fantastic scores. Final game 4-5 victory
