Can you help? Searching for speakers

Can you help? We are searching for inspirational individuals for two key events in our school calendar.

Speech Day

We are looking for a dynamic and inspirational public figure for our upcoming Speech Day.

If you know someone who would be a great speaker at the event, please get in touch. You may have contacts within your professional network or have a famous friend or family member! Past students have heard from astronaut Dr Bob Thirsk, BBC Strictly dancer Amy Dowden, and Dr of Happiness Dr Andy Cope. We are searching for an equally inspiring figure this year: someone with an interesting story to share who can motivate and encourage our pupils as they get ready to take their next steps into the world.

About the event: Speech Day is on Friday 4th July, from 11:00 – 13:30 at The University of Birmingham Great Hall. The speaker is required from 10:00 – 13:30. The speech is 10 minutes long and they would also be part of the platform party, presenting certificates and awards.

Hallfield Insights

Are you an inspiring leader, industry expert or well-known speaker with valuable knowledge to share? Hallfield Insights is our prestigious evening talks series designed to bring influential voices to an audience of our pupils and their parents.  We are seeking high-profile speakers from diverse fields including technology, business, leadership, science, the arts, social impact and more. This is a unique opportunity to connect with young minds and their families, offering guidance and practical insights that they can apply to in school and beyond . If you or someone you know would be a great fit, we’d love to hear from you.

About the event: Hallfield Insights takes place in the Prep Hall, from 18:00 – 19:00 on a date mutually agreed with each speaker. Talks are usually around 40 minutes, with time after for questions. The format is flexible – speakers can take a traditional approach with a presentation from the stage or make their session more interactive. We can even offer a more conversational, interview style format.

To apply or nominate a speaker for either of these events, contact Kat de Polo, Alumni and Development Officer, on kdepolo@hallfieldschool.co.uk.
