U9 Red Team vs Winterfold

The U9 Red and Green teams travelled to Winterfold to play both Winterfold and King’s St Albans.
The red team began with an end to end game against Winterfold. Good passing between the team gave the girls opportunity to score but unfortunately these could not be converted resulting in a 0-0 draw. In their second game against King’s the girls continued to move the ball around well but conceded a goal on the break from King’s. The girls worked hard and managed to convert a chance late on to secure a 1-1 draw.

U9 Green Team vs Winterfold

The Green team began their match against King’s quite slowly and conceded an early goal. From the restart the girls took control of the game, had most of the possession but unfortunately were unable to find an equaliser. Despite good team work the final score was 1-0 to King’s.
In the second game against Winterfold the ball moved quickly from end to end with some good attacking play from both teams however the defensive play more than matched this and neither team could find a way through. Final score 0-0. A good start to the season from all the girls, well done!

U11 Red v Norfolk House

U11 Red v Norfolk House
The girls made a good start to the season, moving the ball around well and finding space on the pitch. Good link up play from the wings enabled the girls to have lots of shots at the opposition goal, whilst good distribution of the ball from defence limited chances for Norfolk House. The girls scored 3 good goals during the match to secure a good first victory. Well done!

U11 Green v Norfolk House

A good game to begin the season. The girls worked hard to maintain possession of the ball and showed determination to win possession back when it was lost. Good distribution from defence enabled the wingers to get onto the ball, but improved crossing is required to secure more chances. The girls score 2 good goals to gain victory in their first match. Well done!

U11 Matches v Repton

The U11 A, B and C Football teams travelled to Repton Prep on Wednesday to play some friendly matches. All three teams found the opposition tough, but they tried as hard as they could, particularly as the opposition were able to make plenty of substitutions on big pitches. A particular well done to Max in the A team who covered the ground superbly and was unlucky when he hit the cross-bar with a rocketing shot.

U13 Match v Repton

The U13s also played against Repton and had four exciting quarters of football. After winning the first quarter 2 – 0 we then conceded a few goals and in the last quarter were trailing 3 – 2. In the last few minutes, we pushed forward and very nearly equalised, but instead Repton broke down to our end and scored! Everyone enjoyed the game and had a pleasant tea afterwards.
