U10 Cricket v Eversfield

A sunny afternoon, the B team won the toss and elected to field first. The team got off to a good start with some sound bowling from Rheuben and Iyla and a good run out. Harpreet and Aaban followed this with excellent line and length of their bowling to limit the opposition’s opportunity to run. Siyana produced some good balls and finished with a wicket. As the innings moved on Aya, Mariia, Summer and Mishaal all bowled accurately to limit Eversfield to a total of 257.
The team set off chasing Eversfield’s total. Runs were hard to come by to begin with but some super batting from Aaban, Summer and Eesha who all found the boundary pushed the score along. Unfortunately in the last over the team lost their first wicket as they pushed to find the extra runs needed to win. A good game and super performances from all – final score Hallfield 245, Eversfield 257.

Batter of the game was Summer and bowler was Mariia. Well done!

U10A vs Eversfield, 73-88L

It was a hot and sunny afternoon for the U10 game against Eversfield on Monday. We won the toss and chose to field first. There was some excellent bowling from Hallfield, with our opening duo of Reet and Nicole putting in a solid performance. Reet’s bowling was so fast, it was very difficult for the opposition to score from, and Nicole did not give away any additional runs with her accurate bowling. Although we allowed some boundaries to pass us, we were tight at times too. Aman was active as ever, ensuring she was backing up others when they threw, Tega made an excellent stop in the air from a ball that surely would’ve gone for 6, Reet made a catch off Bora’s bowl, and Daya and Mia worked well together to run out the opposition.

It was then our turn to bat. We watched the ball well and made hits from the slower balls where we could. Reet and Bora hit a 4 each and Daya scored 2 4s with some well placed balls finding gaps in the opposition. Leila and Sylvie were both vocal and decisive on the wicket with their partners, and Mia and Aisha made the most runs as a batting pair, communicating well together. In the end, we were just 15 runs off Eversfield, making it a well-matched game. Reet got bowler of the game and Daya got batter of the game. Well played everyone.
