U11 B v Crackley Hall
U11 C v Crackley Hall
Hallfield made a good start to the match with some great attacking play from Emma, Siyiona, Lamiya and Dhiya, but unfortunately we couldn’t convert our early opportunities. Endless running from Kathryn and powerful hitting made it difficult for Crackley Hall to mount an attack. However, when called upon to defend the goal Yiran, Zahra and Emily were up to the challenge. Hallfield took the lead through a super goal by Dhiya. Good concentration from Amelia in goal ensured a clean sheet and a good win for the girls. Well done! Player of the game, Kathryn.
U9 Green Team vs Eversfield
U11A vs Crackley Hall
The U11As had a thrilling match against Crackley Hall on Wednesday. The 2 sides were well matched and Crackley Hall started off with most of the possession. Our defensive team of Anshi, Hana and Siona, were very strong and overturned the play with excellent tackling. The first 2 goals of the game were scored on the counterattack due to some quick thinking by the defence, and some very fast running by the attack. Angie, Olivia and Mary worked seamlessly together to work the ball between them to create the goal-scoring opportunities. During the second half, Crackley Hall came back strongly. We were doing a lot more defensive work and Ellen and Lucilla covered a lot of ground on the wings, taking the ball from the Ds into our attacking half. They soon created another chance on goal which was put away with confidence. Crackley Hall managed several attempts at goal which were on target, however nothing was getting past Sahiba; the opposition’s coach commented on her fantastic work as the keeper. The final score was 3-0 to Hallfield and Angie was voted as the Girl of the Game. Well done to all the girls, fantastic play from all!
U8 Hockey Festival with Norfolk House
The girls in Year 3 had their first hockey festival on Thursday against Norfolk House. Collectively, the girls played a total of 11 hockey matches so it was a very busy afternoon! It was wonderful to see them put their learning into practice and get some hands-on experience in competitive hockey matches. Although we did not keep a record of the scores, there were some great goals scored, excellent dribbling work and wonderful tackles. We will keep working on positioning and passing across to each other, but it was a fantastic start to their hockey at Hallfield. Well done to all the girls and thank you to all the parents who came along to support the girls.
U9 Red Team vs Eversfield
On Tuesday the U9 Red team consisting of a mixed gender team played a brilliant match against Eversfield. After losing the toss we were on the defence as soon as the whistle was blown! However with our brilliant pressure tactics we were quick to make the turn around! Throughout the match we played a wide spread game and were the more dominant team! With our skills and strong tackles we stopped multiple attempts at our goal. At half time we were 1 up and after a group team talk we were ready for the second half! A strong second half made the final score a 4-0 win! Well played everyone it was great to see such a cohesive team. You should all be very proud of yourselves!
